Urbex doesn't begin at the drive up to the place you're infiltrating. It begins with research. With finding the place. With actual EXPLORATION of your urban environment. These are daunting tasks for the beginner sure, but it's not like there isn't a plethora of sources telling you exactly how to find locations in your city, both in this thread and on the internet just by looking for urban exploration forums.
But fucking teenagers looking for a quick thrill don't give a shit about the other aspects of the hobby. They don't care about the history of the places you're investigating, or the thrill of finding the place yourself and bringing your friends out to see it. And they CERTAINLY don't care about the people coming after them who maybe would like the building to be in something resembling explorable condition.
No, these fucking kids only care about some cheap thrills. Go out somewhere they shouldn't be, drink some shitty beer, leave their cans at the building, spray some shitty tags, and then go back to school the following Monday to brag about how cool they are. It's a goddamn disgrace, and ruins the building for all explorers coming after.
On the off chance you AREN'T some stupid teenager, do you have any idea how fucking disrespectful it is to roll up and just expect these locations as handouts? How do you think anyone else found out about them? I'll give you a hint; if the place is worth anything, it wasn't from Atlas Obscura, or googling "cool abandoned [location]." We put in the legwork, we did the research, we staked the place out for security, and now you expect to get a free fucking ride?
