Hike outdoors, it will make you fall in love with exercise and health, and want to get fitter to have a better time. Treadmills are depressing and unsustainable unless you're a bug.
You will be absolutely fine hiking. Take enough food that you can pause when you're absolutely wrecked and have a snack, but you have a massive advantage over slender hikers - you are carrying your energy stores in your body already!
Avoid running downhill, landing on your feet with a juddering motion, drink enough (with electrolytes, such as in milk or juices, or have a salty snack when you drink a lot of water), have snacks when you're getting low and your brain isn't working well, take rests, and push yourself further than your fucking lard ass has gotten used to. Your body will cry out and complain and your fat mind will come up with any escape from this, but therein lies complacency and never changing. Overcome yourself. Just look up signs of a heart attack first and try to stay in the "green zone" of cardio, and do not ignore actual sharp pains, especially from your back and legs (not stitches).
Ramble on!
