The Aztec macquahuitl was a widely distributed weapon during the Spanish conquest, and yet the last one in existence was destroyed in a museum fire in the 19th century. When I die, I'll donate my stuff to a museum, but before then I'm not letting some knucklehead grad student fuck it up before then.
