>>2674138Even taking into account leafdrop I don't see a single non conifer in that picture lol, you just post these tldrs sperging against something that is an agreed-upon concept: that across the broadleaf dominated forests of the east coast there is a greater density and diversity of tree species. Also you show how little you actually even understand about other regions- if you surveyed 1000 square miles here, thats a large enough area where you'd be picking up alot of bottomland, upland, mixed hardwood, etc. and each of those areas is going to have about 10 DIFFERENT dominant trees putting the number of "dominant" trees probably around thirty or so over that range.
But hey here's a pic from a few weeks ago of some hardwoods that I've spent alot of time in. Just in this one pic I can confirm the presence of Live Oak, Willow Oak, Water Oak, Laurel Oak, Red Maple, Cherry Laurel, Black Cherry, Sugar Berry, Persimmon, Black Gum, Sweet Gum, Red Cedar and American Holly. And that Grounsel there is pushing tree size too lol. And look later this afternoon I'll go out and take pics and confirm the presence of all those trees within that very picture if you'd like.
