Waiting on 6 trees from Raintree Nursery, got pairs of honeycrisp apple, shinsui pear, and bing cherry that are supposed to be coming in either March or April.. need to call the nursery and verify actually. Any anons have tips for tree prep a month or so out? I've roughed out some holes that I'm going to soak so I can dig them easier... but I'm up in the air on waiting to dig the holes until right before the trees come or have the holes done ahead of time, I'm hesitant to do the second option because of fucking with the microbiology, but I dont want to risk leaving the trees out of the ground as they're bare rooted and need to go in the ground asap.
