I'm thinking of getting a Cold Steel pipe hawk as an alternative to a hatchet for light wood processing. Thoughts?
>easily removable head for replacing handle
>head is nimble enough to make handle in a pinch
>Functional hammer poll for various hammer things
>lighter than hatchets, but able to baton for splitting
>easy to get it looking sweet as hell
>cheap (~$30)
>you get to own a tomahawk
Only downside I can see is chopping/splitting power, but I'm not too concerned about that since I won't be lumberjacking with it, and my research suggests it's a good chopper for a 'hawk.
