>>1725347>>1725272turns out my dad has pretty much set up a perfect Ruth Stout bed completely by accident. he used to feed cows entire hayrolls in this lowland field, using the round metal things, but they would pull it out and drop a lot, not to mention how long a roll would sit there before it was eaten. the cows would also shit around there a lot obviously. so i have two big circular areas where an abundance of hay, manure, and fertile mud have sat together for a solid year. should i flip or move around the hay at all before planting or just dig a hole, plant, cover, and maybe put some topsoil over it?
i'm still also going to do a hugel next to it.
