>>1873838I thought that too, but I'm on my third pair and they usually last me a year and a half or longer before the bottom wears out.
>yes, I still ran with them a few times like thisWhen I got them, they were pretty tight and I thought my feet would bust the seams within a few runs, but they lasted and never busted. the only holes were the ones on the heels, and since the point of the shoes is to protect your forefoot, the holes in the heels are actually not a problem, unlike shoes with big heels. I know this sounds crazy, and some retard will argue anyway, but I used them with holes in the hot summer sun without problems... I only replaced them when I got a replacement pair of v-runs.
>why not go barefoot completely?because my feet have not calloused completely, but I hope to get there. I wear them mostly because the heat here in the southwest (115F in air, probably 150F asphalt) forces me to. During most other times, I run barefoot.
.
but to your point: they seem flimsy, but they haven't failed me, and outlast regular running shoes by a longshot.
