>>2450722I have a packframe now. I can strap my bedroll, diamond fly, thomahawk and two packs. One for spare clothing and camp essentials the other for food only. Fully kitted for winter im at 65-75 pounds, summer I can get it down to about 50-60. That is minus water, haversack, possibles pouch, shooting bag, powderhorn and the fusil musket. It's a lot easier when you are canoeing with this gear versus carrying it. I hate portaging. But im building a toboggan for the winter so I hardly ever have to carry it.
