Cons: it slays sunnies, literally. Often they'll eat the tail trebel hook and hook removal is harmful since the trebel acts like a one way. Multiple times the 2nd trebel will find a way to hook the poor sunfish's eye. Smallies will sometimes get hooked in the gill plate too.
I made them barbless as well. But still last trip I just stopped using them when it seemed more than half the catches had harmful hook ups.
Using only one trebel seems like a good idea.
Another thing is that it's hard to cast far. It's good enough for smaller rivers however.
