>rolling tobaccoWorth a ton in trade on the AT. Not to mention I enjoyed smoking it. Tobacco was worth so much in trade that people who never smoked would carry it as a form of currency. Pretty much the very opposite of worthless since it was worth more in the woods than the money you spent to buy it. I'd ballpark about 75% of thru-hikers smoked tobacco.
