I try and avoid other people at most of these lakes, but if I end up making small talk and I was actually catching shit, I normally just say "a couple small guys". I'm not a huge fan of telling random people that I have been pulling 5lb bass out of a lake.
Depends though, sometimes people are cool. Especially if I see a dad with a younger kid, I will try and put them on the good spots. Or at least somewhere that they will get bites.
