>>2178122In Kentucky, if the property unimproved and isn't posted or fenced, then it's not punishable to trespass there. It's considered a "violation", which means that you can get a warning. In some rural areas it is common for neighbors to cross onto each others land to hike or whatever. There aren't any parks or public property out there, so that's just how it is. That sort of attitude is starting to die out now that city folks are moving out to the countryside and buying up big farms. Sometimes I can talk my way to getting permission though.
