polypropylene mogs everything for base layers prove me wrong. all the advantages of wool and all the advantages of synthetic. the only downsides to it are that its bad for the environment, more expensive than polyester, and textile isn't manufactured in as huge of quantities. aka shit that doesn't matter one single bit when you're using it in the field.
