Well, depends on your location and climate, but if you have higher terrain nearby, that would be ideal.
I hiked in the mountains at between 3000-4800 ft yesterday. It was reasonably cool despite being 95F a few hours away in my city.
Also, find swimming holes. If there's a waterfall, there's a decent chance the water might be deep enough to swim in. Water in the mountains is always cool, even in summer.
