Sorry to OP for barging in but I'm in the exact same position.
I was sent here by /k/ since i guess 2017 is different than 2012 (been gone) and hunting is no longer /k/. I got certified a long time ago but never went hunting and don't have a lot of time to sit around in a blind and i like the idea of stalk/still hunting.
Is this a good strategy?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pg17-CIXSU>Area i'm hunting is a ovular lake with bends and bows that look exactly like they would have good bedding and feeding.I'm planning and starting on the farthest East of the WMA since the wind usually blows east and marching in a Sine wave into the wind.
My arsenal:
>1 Spanish Mauser 8mm>1 Handi Rifle in 7mm-08>1 AR15 20" barrel>2 shotguns 20"+ barrelsGame:
>Deer in November (middle of rut?)>Boar after the new yearSchedule:
>awake in the morning>sleep midday 9 to 12>hunt afternoon through nightAny advice is welcome
