>>1638274Ended up homeless (long story) in my early twentys. Had a job but was gonna need a few weeks paychecks before I could get my own place so I was just gonna camp out in the woods behind the warehouse I was working at for a few weeks.
Weather was okay and should have stayed okay but a freak snowstorm came through and it was below freezing during the day and even colder at night and was constantly snowing with like 18" the first few days. I ended up leaving my camp on the first night and walking to a walmart where I bought some tarps to cover my tent with to better keep the wind out and a couple cheap blankets. Was still cold as fuck, anytime I'd fall asleep I'd wake myself up by shaking so bad.
Next day I went and bought one of those little propane heaters. Used it every night after that, it helped a lot and kept me from death. But that was still a horrible couple of weeks. It wouldn't have been nearly as bad if I wasn't having to get up early every morning to go in to work.
