Are some plants just born with defects like humans? I often have sprouts that grow and never manage to break the seed. I have to carefully peel it off and even then, the damage is already done. The seed leaves get all brown/yellow and crunchy wherever the seed took up.
Right now I have a little bell pepper sprout which is basically a stem with a ball of dirt on top. I just don't see how I can remove the seed without hurting the thing.
Are they just genetically inferior and should be left to die or is it my responsibility/fault?
