>>1049769Fair call, I have been mainly doing a lot of trips with my swag to remote fishing locations and wanted to get this kind of gear for hiking into some remote spots to hunt. I'm sick of the huge swag which limits me to areas with car access and hiking back and fourth to sleep from rock ledges.
I have done a lot of camping and exploring on foot and don't really see what difference backpacking is going to be since its just all contained in my pack? I understand the concepts of lightweight but I also have a purpose hiking into remote places, and that is to hunt.
What am I missing in terms of coherency? I mean the stuff I have all has a function? Fits together nicely in my bag, is not heavy?
I am still in the process of buying decent shoes. I'm thinking salomons or something?
