>>1828499>you guys ever get scared of being killed, or abducted? not necessarily aliens just alot of shady shit goes down in national forests and wilds.not anymore. i used to be but pushed through it cuz i really wanted to backpack but couldnt find frens. now im obsessed and plan my entire summer season around my hikes. i am afraid of widow makers tho, ive seen trees come down for no reason at all. very scary to hear that crack then see a massive tree smashing through the canopy. it mind fucks you. i hiked through a section of PCT in WA then like a week later a german pct hiker died from a widow maker in that exact section.

>any wierd encounters?scary screaming noises at night while trying to sleep, i assume it was an animal was getting killed or something. it was so loud and just kinda echoed through the mountains as im laying there in my tent.
