Hi all,
Is it ever too early to start seedlings indoors when you live in a temperate climate? I did a test planting of some wild galapagos tomato seeds just to see if they were viable, and now I am wondering if I can just keep them alive indefinitely without retarding their growth by the time they can go outside. If I keep them under a light and repot them every so often, will they still be vigorous when I finally plant them outdoors or does growing into a container cause them to stop growing long term?
I ask because here in Canada our seasons have become incredibly erratic and spring could arrive anywhere from april to late may and I would like to have them ready to go in case of an early spring.
