Pic related was my solution in the reserves, cost about $60 total. The flexible solar panels aren't as powerful as glass, but you can get more surface area without the risk of it shattering, plus the weight is less. Using it periodically to trickle charge the 20000mah battery bank (it's Chinese so the rating might be inflated, but it's been great the past few years), I never had any issues.
