>>1701674Hah, did the Siberian Log Fire give me away? I binged on Survival Russia and Far North Bushcraft and Survival before my trip.
>>1701682You are absolutely correct. I got the fire started at around 4, and it didn't get dark until close to 6. I was a bit sweaty from my hike and I wanted to start getting dry asap. I also had minimal water and needed to start melting snow. I cut my logs about 5'6" long and the fire lasted almost all night. It was down to log chunks coals in the morning and with a bit of birch bark and some twigs it sparked right back up.
>Picrel is the fire in the morning. It burnt down about 4 feet and still wasn't on solid ground yet.
