Cool idea, sure, but it's rather hipster-tier in execution. For actual use, it's really an expensive jetboil.
In SHTF-scenario, cell network is probably the first thing to go down. If it's not taken down intentionally, the system will be so overloaded (see: katrina) that for all intents and purposes it's down. A two-way radio's the right tool there, and unless you're using a 0.5W FRS rig, the biolite just won't produce the power to keep it charged.
