DPAs are basically the world's most perfect mics in terms of specs (although my Audio-Technicas almost match) but they're stupid expensive. Also let's remember that the way a mic sounds is everything, and they aren't created equal. Smaller the mic, the higher the self-noise, and then you have to be mindful of frequency response and polar pattern. If you want a tiny mic with an actual great sound and specs, you're gonna pay. If you can tolerate a normal sized pencil mic you can get amazing specs for 1/4 the cost. It goes on and on. It's a whole big thing and when you navigate it with all your priorities in mind, you pick something that's the overall best choice for you.
