The fear with global warming is that the trend will continue and spiral into runaway, not that the earth is going to be observably warmer in your lifetime. If you believe the current climate models, global warming will be nearly un-observable compared to the normal post ice age cooling we should be experiencing in your lifetime, because these are multi million year long projections and you live for 100 tops.
TL;DR anthropogenic climate change will not be observable in your lifetime. Claiming otherwise is a rejection of all current climate projections.
