You are not allowed to pitch a tent on your own land in Canada if the land is not zoned as a campground. So, if you have $150k or enough money for a down payment on a loan, then your plan can work. But you should know Canada's climate is hellish. The winters are long, brutal, never ending. Two weeks ago it was literally freezing. The summers in rural areas are full of mosquitoes, blackflies. And they are brutal summers. Very hot and humid. VERY humid. So, if living in the middle of nowhere with shit weather being a sustenance farmer is your cup of tea, then it's a fine plan. If I were you though, I would look into moving to Spain.
