Anyway the red part usually only has a couple of inches when the water is low, but when it's high there's at most only 8" or so.
So the carp stay in that little resivoour below the damn and multiply like crazy. I posted a couple threads ago where I could see at least a hundred lined up on the bank with my headlamp.
I got onto something today that was absolutely huge. I would like to think it was a nice bass, but more than likely it was a big carp. Once I hooked it the fish ran so fast and hard, but he got off really quick.
