I've got a whole bunch of other stories that just gave me Alabama/Florida man vibes related to Norfolk though, for example buying a training grenade from a guy and sitting outside his little shop for an hour talking to him about weapons while we try and get the pin back in it. I feel like if I had done that anywhere else in the UK some retard would have called the police.
I say it's like Florida/Alabama more as a term of endearment than insult, I still love the place. That's why I go back every year, it's beautiful and pretty much without failure something memorable happens (Like somebody twatting a boat on the jetty next to Potter Heigham bridge, or one of the hire boats zigzagging across the river because they're so retarded they can't work out how to use a boat properly)
