I myself do not have as fervent an opinion on GW as the rest of this board. I do think there are some serious problems with the data pre-WW2 but that alone doesn't mean that a reasonable conclusion can't still be drawn.
I am suspicious that the only solution to this problem has been to give governments more power to take money and restrict personal liberties. Inb4 "but muh planet!". GW a he'll of a thing to tell people to convince them that their lives should be ruled by a few academics. These groups have been really bad at keeping altruistic utopian promises in the past but people still eat that shit up.
