>>2673219Final Fantasy XIV is the only one I really enjoyed. You don't have any manual control, and it's all done through actions, but there are a ton of fish and a lot of places to fish in. Then again, I also enjoyed fishing in classic WoW which was literally just hitting one button. So the fact you had inputs in FFXIV was huge for me.
FFXV was mechanically better. Fire Emblem is pretty good. The recent Zelda games are also up there. MonHun World was also fine.
Specifically JRPGs? There's a pretty long list, seems like the Japanese throw a fishing mini game into everything. It just depends on what you're looking for. Do you want mechanics, realism, atmosphere, or just raw fun?
I still think Stardew has the best fishing even if it isn't a JRPG. Also give Russian Fishing 4 a try. It's pretty in depth albeit kind of janky.
