For everyone else, Technically these are still carbon steels due tue their excessive carbon amount, just specially made to have also some stainless properties. Its a little marvel of 21st century physical technics
1095 has an HRC of 58-61 and is exceptionally cheap even for big quantitys like you see in a machete (20$).
