>>1970124>>1970146Yes, these aren't backpacking gram-fag friendly. However, a tank will last a couple of days with heavy use and you don't need to deal with bottles attached by hoses. They used to have a slightly more compact version (Peak1, eXponent) which you would have to find used. These stoves also last forever and have replacement parts readily available. With all these single burner stoves, you need to deal with stability. The butane canister stoves are easily knocked over. Some have little plastic feet that can be snapped to the bottle to make it more stable, but they're not designed to cook much more than a 1.5 qt covered backpacking pot. If you're not backpacking, the wider heavier stove is considerably more stable and far easier to use if cooking with a skillet.
