>>1753070It depends. Most guard dogs will leave you alone if you keep out of whatever they're guarding. They're mostly a bad owner problem, the kind that keep their gate or fence open or won't train their dog. If a dog is shitty, its owner is probably just as bad, I'd rather not deal with either one if I can avoid them.
Jabs from trekking poles will usually work too.
