Its best if you can learn by going out with other people, but Its totally doable to learn everything you need to know from books, youtube and podcasts. Steve Rinella and Meat Eater in general are a great resource. I am in the process of learning big game hunting by myself as well and feel pretty confident that ill be able to get something next season. Probably won't get anything my first try, but as long as you learn from mistakes and learn from others you should get the hang of it eventually.
