Most can be bought at a 50% discount at the outlet stores, and all of them are amazing quality.
If you are really passionate about the outdoors (and not just when it's 75 and sunny), its worth spending a little extra for an ultra-durable, resilient jacket. Knowing that I won't feel a thing when it's -20 and windy as fuck (quite common in my region) is worth well over the $350 I paid for an arc ski shell.
They look cool too.
