>>1991657>You still can get quite a few uses out of it, but please, don't be the autist that smells like assI did a test of the smell-removing abilities because I currently only have the Duckworth wool. The Dilling as explained in the OP must be forwarded from England or Europe.
The results of 3 days of almost perpetual wear, followed by 2 hours of airing, got rid of 90-95% of the dick/ass smell. I also noticed that the wool's perceived smell was caused at least 80% by my body odor. If I showered or applied baby powder to the armpits, the wool immediately ceased to smell.
The key takeaway is that you need two pairs to alternate, and a wire basket or similar convenient airing bin to make sure you air it daily. I use a wire basket placed over the hot/cold vent, or in front of an open window.

>>1991788>I'm in the army and all field socks are a blend. The reason is simple. Pure wool simply wears too fast because socks face high friction when used.Makes sense, thanks. I already decided against buying fancy socks because I completely destroy all footwear that comes in contact with my feet. Still got some older wool pairs for /out/ but for daily wear the mission is accomplished: my weekly laundry machine load will be ~14 socks and ~2 linen towels. Quickest and gentlest cycles enhanced by wool dryer balls. If the laundry isn't damp after 30 minutes, that's already a huge improvement. If it's dry in 10-15, fuck yeah
