I guess this is my beater. Most of the stuff in the woods I can do with my Opinel No.8 or smaller mora style knives, but this works for the harder tasks. It has seen some use throughout years. I should sharpen it before summer comes though, been putting it off for a while now. A while ago I thought about washing and cleaning it, but then I took it out of the sheath and it smelled of pine resin and smoke from the previous outing. The smell was so cozy I that couldn't wash it off.
