Both are fine since they both have better strenght than the line you tie in on. Unis wont ever cut themselves like bloods in theory might do.
That being said, ive fished +10 years using half bloods for literally everything its possible using it for. Jigs, Jerks, spinners, everything and ive never lost anything because of a weak knot. Ive switched over to unis recently just because, and i honestly cant tell the difference. Both are also fine for wacking your way out of snags and do fine when you somehow catch 5 clams and 3 rocks.
Using a blood over double uni always give you a smoother/slimmer knot, weather or not you give a shit about that is up to you. Personally i would never use a double uni instead of a blood, i cannot think of a single reason it should be better.
Also, looking online, theres aparently serveral ways of tying a bloodknot, this is the way you should do it, the other ones are retarded and doesnt make any sense
