not directly but I was in fire for a few years and did project work in the off-season, mostly thinning, piling, or habitat restoration. Never saw a clear cut that wasn't 40+ years old. Not entirely sure of the laws in the PNW compared to elsewhere but 1) never saw any "rAmPaNt DeStRuCtIoN" and 2) met plenty of local retards that think a 10 year old juniper is old growth.
I definitely considered going into logging full time but there are better ways to kill myself for money. still would love to get back out sometime
