the best camera is the one you have with you
having a camera is very nice but gets to be a pain in the hole
I have a dslr and the camera weighs 1.4kg in total it can be a bitch to lug up a mountain
worth it though for the zoom and high res
check out charity shops for a cheapo used one, or ebay
although depending on the phone you have, you would need to shell out quite a bit to have a camera thats of equal/better quality than your current setup
