>>2070492I forgot my tick spray. As for burning I am very inexperienced, never done it until I started my new job a month ago. So far it seems to be a matter of doing a bunch are time consuming first steps such as cutting fire breaks, setting down enough black on the back side, and watching the weather. We actually had the fire get out on us on this burn due to a sudden wind shift, but thankfully it was only green pasture that it spread to so it was easy enough to bring under control. Not burning seems to be an awful policy considering all we now know about both the ecological role of fire, and the results of leaving areas unburned for long periods. Pic related the burn we did this week.
