Me, my dad, and a woman in our backpacking group were walking along a trail in the early morning and I nearly walked into the damn thing because I was walking with my head down like an autist. My dad called out to me and I looked up to see a bull moose about 10 yard from me standing on the trail. I still remember how the thing followed me as I backed up and ended up standing right were I had been. Very tense but a memory forever, my dad probably saved my life.
