Muscadine/scuppernong grapes are my absolute favorite. Anywhere in the southeast where wild berries are spread by birds you might find some of these growing up. Thick skin and a chewy, slightly slimy pulp with seeds that need to be spit out. But the flavor is amazingly sweet when they're ripe, it's like a juicy natural gummy candy. Im growing some along with lots of other fruit and berries in my backyard, but I always look for them when I'm out in nature during august and September.
