Hello guys. This is my first time ever going on /out/ so if I sound weird that's why.
I just got a bunch of fishing equipment, and I want to go fishing as soon as possible. The problem is, I don't know the first thing about fishing and I have nobody to teach me. I know so little about the subject that I'm not even properly sure what questions to ask. My "Plan" currently is to just take my fishing rod, put one of the little wormy things on it and throw it into a river and just kind of assume something will happen if I wait long enough.
Any beginners advice? I live in Connecticut. I'll try to post a pic that will attract attention. I'm assuming this board isn't very fast so I'll be here a while, even though really I want to go out and try right now. But I just feel like if I am not informed at all about what I'm doing, the experience will suck.
