Most of the guys I know that are into nonmotorized winter sports beyond a weekend-warrior level don't care. It's not their thing, but skiing isn't mine either. We can still have a good time together and be respectful on the mountain. There's a lot we can learn from each other.
My experience, it's the plebs that bitch about the other user groups. This goes for skiers vs. snowmobilers, and snowmobilers vs. skiers.
