anyone have any suggestions for something like cocoon packs, but translated to pockets instead of straps? i need a bag that has good compartmentalization, but i don't like the general style of the cocoon bag itself. also, cocoon is a bit expensive for me since i already have a dedicated /out/ bag for when i go hiking and camping.
the reason i need good organisation is my part time job is IT and maintenance stuff at my university. i am, in sorts, on call for many hours at a time, so i carry my schoolwork and laptop around as well as a multitool, a socket set, music gear for jogging, and a rainjacket basically all the time. i broke a mouse the other day and decided that i need an upgrade in size, strength, and organization. my current bag is a noname bag i got at a goodwill
all that said, i've been checking out the timbuk2 rogue. however, i don't know if i am paying for the 'style' or if the quality warrants the price. i like the idea of a floptop so i can get going quickly, but the one compartment style is what led me to break my mouse, not to mention pencils every day. i've also looked at targus a lot but with how cheap they are i have doubts about durability
