So the rod I was gonna give my girlfriend to cast for staging salmon broke at the tip (2 guides came off) and I'm away at school, so I can't get any of my other rods atm, I've been planning this trip for a while and I decided to get a rod tip replacement kit with the glue and what not. Do you think that would be fine for using for a day casting 1/2 oz. lures?
I could also get a cheap Berkley lightning rod at Walmart tonight but I've been meaning to get a nice spinning rod. I didnt see anything at the local fishing shop I liked so I dont want a Walmart rod to be my rod.
