Because a quick image search only turns up 2 and 4 cell plug-into-the-wall battery rechargers, with the batteries being removed for use in electronic stuff like flashlights and such, not a combined USB compatible power pack.
Also, I don't think you're going to find a smaller/lighter way of REcharging those batteries using solar or some kinda hand-crank.
