>>1610404>Ok so you're just as bad.Nice walls keep out road dust and noise. The hedges I have help a great deal with the dust, but it is still a bit of a problem. If I get the money I will be building a wall on the road-side of the property.
>literal mason walled fortressI'm not sure what you mean. There are many estates like that around here. I just don't personally know the owners.
>Why are Americans so paranoid about their territory?Everyone owns firearms and people with large amounts of property usually manage the wildlife. This gets wrecked during hunting season when out-of-state tourist hunters come in and disregard boundaries. There are also a great many people who use dirt bikes, horses, and ATVs. They tend to tear up game trails which results in some pretty devastating erosion problems for some areas. Most of my area is criss-crossed with oil & gas well roads. Which are built for erosion prevention in mind. Those types of people stick to those roads normally. Another huge problem is drugs. People will build shacks, pull in tiny trailers via ATVs, or just setup grows on other people's properties. Then they grow weed or cook meth. Land owners are responsible for preventing this and you can actually lose your own land if you don't prevent it and the cops crack down. They love seizing land and reselling it before litigation is even completed.
